TOPHis Eminence has been coming to Pretoria ever since 1968, delivering thought provoking, highly educational and profoundly inspiring lectures on every aspect of Islamic life in all of the Mosques of Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa. The quality of his lectures had been so far – reaching in its influence that more and more people began to pack the Mosques wherever and when ever he spoke. Soon his gems of guidance, his spiritually charged Zikr-o-Azkaar and his charming dervish-like personality began to attract people towards him. His relentless and amazing zeal, enthusiasm and sweet reasonableness soon began to capture the hearts of the seekers towards his sacred and blessed mission.
Amongst the earliest murids (disciples) of Hazrat Maulana Khushtar in Pretoria, and indeed South Africa was the late Janan Shaikh Dawood Shamsuddien Mukaddam (May Allah have mercy on him). The intense bond of love, devotion and service which existed between the murid and his Pir-O-Murshid was incredible and exemplarily. Through the excellent efforts of Janab Shaikh Dawood Mukaddam, his family began to take a keen interest in the Sunni Razvi’s mission of His Eminence. Their sincere devotion to the cause won the heart of their Pir-O-Murshid who decided to bless their home as his place of residence for his stay in Laudium.
Under the distinguished patronage and guidance 353 Mendhi Street, Laudium, the residence of brother Abdullah A. Gafoor Mukaddam began to develop into a Sunni Razvi Markaz (Centre). The Sunni Razvi Society, Laudium branch was established in 1978, with 353 Mendhi Street as its headquarters. The Urs of Imam Ahle Sunnat Shah Ahmad Raza Khan (may Allah be pleased with him), Urs of Hazrat Mufti-e Azam, Milad-un-Nabi (Allah bless him and give him peace), Urs of Sayyiduna Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah be pleased with him); the gathering of Halqa Zikr, Khatam-e-Qadiriyyah, ladies Sunni orientated programs all began to take place here. The 10th Urs of Alahazrat (may Allah be pleased with him) was celebrated by the Laudium branch on a grand scale.
The inspirational guidance of our Pir-o-Murshid has been responsible for the Society undertaking to print literature from time to time as a means of propagating and perpetuating the true Ahle Sunnat mission of Alahazrat (may Allah be pleased with him), the Mujaddid and Reformer of this century.
Hazrat Maulana Khushtar’s entire mission has been to enlighten the Muslims of South Africa about Imam Ahle Sunnat Shah Ahmad Raza Khan Qadiri (may Allah be pleased with him) in an effort to establish the true status of Prophet hood, the pristine purity of Almighty Almighty Allah and the true teaching of Islam according to the Ahle Sunnat wa Jamaat.
We are truly very grateful to our Pir-o-Murshid for his spiritual guidance and teachings and fervently pray to Almighty Allah to grant him good health and long life so that he can continue to mould our lives in accordance with the teachings of Imam Ahle Sunnat Shah Ahmad Raza Khan Qadiri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sultan Auliya Shaikh Sayyiduna Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah be pleased with him).
