Guidance to other Researchers

He guided the scholars who were doing research on Imam Ahmed Raza, such as Dr. Usha Sanyal, Columbia University (USA) who was conferred the degree of Ph.D. in 1991. Prof. GD Qureshi (Birmingham University, UK) translated the Urdu poems of Alahazrat into English and also obtained his Ph.D. on this subject. Prof. Dr. Majeedullah Qadri Karachi University (Pakistan) and Dr. JMS Baljon Leiden University (Holland) also translated literature of Alahazrat into English and many other scholars and researchers.

Dr. Masud enlightened the confused minds of the Muslim community. Dr. Ali Ahmed Qureshi declared in 1991 as the bondman of the Holy House of Ghaus-ul-Azam, and disciple of the Qadiri Tradition, in saying, that it is not wrong to entitle:
"Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masud Ahmed as the Revivalist of the Fifteenth Century Hijra"

The literary works of Dr. Masud Ahmed are being presented in different languages for instance Arabic, Persian, French, Dutch, English, Sindhi, Hindi, Gujrati, Bangali including many other languages. These translated books are being disseminated throughout the world.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masud Ahmed has Ijaza (diploma given by Sufi Pir to his disciple authorizing him to enroll disciples) in Naqshbandiyya as well as Qadiriyya orders. His caliphs are increasing in number and his neophytes (mureeds) are spreading in the Indo-Pak subcontinent, Arabia, Canada, USA, UK and UAE. 

Many scholars of international fame paid homage to Dr. Masud Ahmed and expressed raving views about his academic and spiritual career. Yes! He is the personality on which separate research work is required. Dr. IA Latifi of Manzer-i-Islam, Bareilly completed his doctoral thesis on Dr. Masud from Bihar University (India) and was awarded his
Ph.D. degree. Prof. NI Choudry (Dept. of Urdu languages and translations of Al-Azhar University, Cairo) wrote an article on Dr. Masud, which was published in Cairo in 1999. Prof. Dr. Hazim Muhammad Ahmed Al-Mahfooz al-Misery (Dept. of Urdu languages and translations of Al-Azhar University, Cairo) has started a series of four books on the life and achievements of Dr. Masud in memory of the completion of seventy years of his life. Many other scholars and writers have written more than ten biographies of Dr. Masud, which have been published in the Indo-Pak subcontinent.

Many other institutions are conducting research projects on Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (may Allah be pleased with him).
The Markez-e-Raza (Lahore) has been publishing research literature and distributing it free throughout the country for the last 20 years. Many other such institutions and associations are busy in spreading Imam Ahmad Raza Khan’s books throughout the world. Some of the institutions are:

Idara-i-Tahqeeqat-e-Imam-Ahmad Raza was established by Syed Reyasat Ali Qadiri under the valuable guidance of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bereilvi, a famous writer and teacher of Islamic learning for the sole objective of the translation and publishing the genius works of Imam Ahmad Raza into English and other languages to facilitate research on his mastermind personality.

Other organizations and universities are researching, printing, publishing and translating different aspects of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan’s (may Allah be pleased with him) personality and his works in continents Europe, USA and Africa. Dr. Masud and many learned professors and scholars have done a fantastic job with the co-operation of many institutions to translate and reproduce the comprehensive, but true portrait of the encyclopedic genius and grand personality of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Qadiri for international readers.

In short Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, his beloved sons, Caliphs and disciples have done invaluable service to Islam. Their sincere services deserve the attention of scholars and researchers around the world. Imam Ahmad Raza Khan undoubtedly was a unique genius, a versatile savant and a steadfast statesman of the Islamic World.

Professor Dr. Masud Ahmed wrote a treatise called ‘Reflections’ which reflects a high esteem in honor of His Eminence, Fakhrul Islam Allama al-Hajj Hafiz Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim Khushtar Siddiqui Qadiri Razvi, as a friend, author, poet, researcher, preacher, Spiritual Guide and roving Ambassador of true Islam.
