TOPAlmighty Allah [Invisible and Exalted is He] has intended for differences to be between human beings in their mental capabilities, their languages, the color of their skin, and their perceptions and thoughts. All this naturally gives rise to a multiplicity and variety of opinions and judgments. The differences which occurred among our ancestors in early Muslim history and which continue to be with us are part of this natural manifestation of variety.
If differences do not exceed their limits, and provided they remain within the standard norms of ethics and proper behavior [adab], and people are trained to observe the proper ethics and norms of expressing and managing differences, there are several positive advantages that could result. If intentions are sincere, differences of opinion could bring about a greater awareness of the various possible aspects and interpretations of evidence in a given case. Such differences could generate intellectual vitality and a cross-fertilization of ideas.
Now that the Sunni Razvi Society has published it’s website, we do expect to receive criticism and disagreement. However, Hazrat Maulana Ibrahim Khushtar has cautioned his disciples to not waste time arguing with people who have ‘radical’ thoughts and perceptions. His Eminence has humbly requested our Ahl-e Sunnat brethren [Tariqat and non-Tariqat] who do manage to find a ‘weak spot’ on our website, to imagine that they are looking at a very tiny ‘black’ spot on our cloak [Jubba] and to look at the history of the Sunni Razvi Society and the positive work His Eminence has done around the world. He also stressed that those brethren that claim to be true ‘Sunnis’ or Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat should criticize less and rather do action, more action. The ‘Wahhabis’ and other ‘Movements’ are using the media [newspapers, magazines, radio, or television] and technology [internet] to propagate their message, and we ‘Sunnis’ are actionless, but are the best at criticizing our own brethren.
One of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Qadiri’s (may Allah be pleased with him) instructions was, "Avoid the mistakes of your brothers, and don't check them or rebuke them for small mistakes to satisfy your egotism, and don't crash your unity, because unity is blessings from Allah the Beneficent."
Hazrat Sultan Shaikh Sayyiduna Shah Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O young man, do not occupy yourself with that which is irrelevant to you so you miss that which concerns you! Thinking of the states of another person and his faults are things that are of no concern to you, while reflecting on your states is of your concern." Do not speak a lot about things that are of no concern to you, for the beloved Prophet (Salla Allah ta’ala alayhi was sallam) said: "One of the results of excellence of the person’s Islam is neglecting that which does not concern him." Your faults are your business, but the faults of others are of no concern to you.
May Almighty Allah grant our Pir-o-Murshid a healthy long life and the strength to continue his noble mission so that he could impart and promote the true message of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, Shaikh Sayyiduna Abdul Qadir Jilani and other great Saints of Islam (may Allah be pleased with them). Our prayers also go to all those scholars and organizations involved in this noble mission.
